The Gira X1 and Gira HomeServer are being equipped with an IFTTT connection for straightforward integration of IoT devices in a Gira KNX Smart Home. This enables third-party IoT devices to be integrated into a network with the Gira KNX Smart Home. In combination with the Gira S1, data is transmitted securely. The connection to IFTTT allows the end user to create their own simple if-then rules – “if this, then that”. For example, if the “central off” switch is operated when leaving the house, operation of the robot vacuum cleaner can be activated at the same time.

The multifunctional button for the Smart Home

Depending on the version, a Gira pushbutton sensor 4 allows up to eight individually variable functions to be defined. Either one or two optional LEDs provide clear operating and status information. For important notifications, such as information about malfunctions, alarms etc., each status display can also be programmed dynamically so that each LED is able to indicate several 
end device statuses. To avoid operating errors, the buttons provide sensory feedback for the user when they are pressed. The Gira pushbutton sensor 4 is available in a range of high-quality materials: in white glass and black glass, in stainless steel, in aluminium and aluminium black.
Other versions will be released from October 2020 on: aluminium coated with bronze (PVD) and painted stainless steel in a pure white glossy finish and silk matt, anthracite, black matt and grey matt.
